484 Deeply Rooted

 

Potatoes, yams, turnips, parsnips, carrots, onions and a rutabaga1, roasted with herbs de provence given to me by Rissa. They were ridiculously good- as was the easy shrimp2 (cooked in garlic/shallot/cilantro/wine/lemon) and couscous she suggested I make to go with. I managed to thoroughly stuff the boys and E & C, but not so much that we didn't ooh and ahh over E's fancy strawberry rhubarb tartlets.

1 I have never had rutabaga before and neither had anyone else. As it turns out, they are very tasty!
2 I've also never made shrimp myself before. I was pleasantly surprised how fast, easy and yummy they were.
