You can't tell, but yes, that is KMFDM on stage. Whoever thought them playing a venue like the Moore was a good idea has my scorn and derision forever.
Spent most of the day shopping for stuff for our fancy new bathroom. This isn't the vanity we ended up getting, but i iphone pic'd it anyway for some reason.
I thought maybe that if I stole all R's money he wouldnt run away back to the UK again, but I was wrong. (Actually, he just left this on a shelf and I found them.)
R'gar and I took a much-needed day off work and drove into the country with our cameras. A few miles short of Diablo, WA, this plot of land caught my eye. Decaying old car, collapsed house and then... friendly cows!
Today we took down the booth and worked ourselves even more ragged than we thought possible. And then I spent the rest of the day staring at the wall and sleeping. No pics!
At the very end of the show, we all posed for a picture on top of the deck. Note how totally exhausted we all look ;-) I clearly didn't take this, but it's my favorite photo of the day.
You can't tell, but this is actually the poop deck, disassembled and covered in rain-proof plastic. The cannons are in the shed. R'gar is very proud (and delirious).
The crest for the back of the poop-deck. That stencil was a bitch to cut out. We intended to spray paint it, but in the end we went for a paint pen because the stencil was too fragile and wouldn't sit flat. R'gar and I stayed up way too late to get all of this done.
Took some time out to go to Steelhead with my boy. I swear I've taken this exact picture a bunch of times and it never works... but it's the only pic from today, so there it is.
This is the poop deck on the second weekend of construction. The mission: build a modular poop deck that can be constructed in less than 30 minutes with no tools. It also needs to support t-shirt cannons and people.
My intention was to pick more plums, but instead I met this spider who made his webby home in the plum tree. He was actually really tiny, contrary to how it seems here. Marlowe got jealous and climbed the tree to shake the branch so I couldn't get many in-focus shots :-P
