615 Busyfail!
Don't remember what exactly I didn't take pics of today, but I know I was crazy busy with pax-erations.

This is the endpost of the front rail of the poopdeck, after I spent 15 minutes sanding it. Smoooooth!

611 One Shot
Took some time out to go to Steelhead with my boy. I swear I've taken this exact picture a bunch of times and it never works... but it's the only pic from today, so there it is.

610 Bolted
This is the poop deck on the second weekend of construction. The mission: build a modular poop deck that can be constructed in less than 30 minutes with no tools. It also needs to support t-shirt cannons and people.

605 Spider Model
My intention was to pick more plums, but instead I met this spider who made his webby home in the plum tree. He was actually really tiny, contrary to how it seems here. Marlowe got jealous and climbed the tree to shake the branch so I couldn't get many in-focus shots :-P

604 Still Life with Plates
Had some people over for dinner and the season's first plum tart. This is, clearly, after :-)

601 Starry Starry Plate
This is not a starry starry night, but rather my empty plate after I finished the fabulous dinner J cooked for us.

600 Time Capsule
A lot of the stuff in Trinity (and the cabin we stayed in) hasn't been touched in years and years. The medicine cabinet is no exception- Mercurochrome is not available over the counter these days and Nebs appear to be a brand of aspirin. I took lots and lots of pictures of old bits and pieces, which you can see here, if you're interested. Note the end of that album is from inside the power house on site, which processes the power from the private hydro dam that powers the cabins.

599 Signs of Life
Trinity has lots of building foundations from the old mining town, but only a few functioning cabins. This is something in between. I found a newspaper from 1985 on the ground near here, and there's a bed and a lot of trash inside. Creepy, but awesome.

598 Oh, Heavens
We arrived in Trinity, where Venus was waiting to greet us. I set Julio on the ground and left her alone for 284 seconds... this was the result of my 5th try.

594 You Can't Have Too Many Daves
The many faces of Mr. Gahan himself at the Depeche Mode show (which we almost totally forgot about due to car buying madness). I'm glad we didn't, because they were great :-)

593 Sascha Also Says Goodbye
Another victim of the new-car-shuffle, Sascha is going to be vroooming off to a new home soon. Today she got a wash, wax and new battery so she can show off her best side for prospective buyers. (Craigslist post here, if you know anyone who's looking for a great bike.)

592 Janice, Waiting
This is a muppet Janice, given to the boy and I by a friend before we left Boston. She's lived on the dashboard of Jenny (the mustang) ever since. She, and the rest of this other stuff, are what we emptied out of the car in preparation for trading her in today... except we didn't make it that far. No fancy new car till we can get the correct paperwork from the bank on Monday. I'm being patient. So is Janice.

591 Bike, Sleeping
(continuing on with B-titles this week. totally unintentional until now ;-)
Another camera phone pic... sorry about that! Snapped this after leaving the merc, sometime after 3am. I love bike shadows in streetlights.

587 Beautiful Plum-age
I find weeding the garden far more fun than is probably reasonable. So fun, in fact, that it got dark before I had a chance to stop and take pictures of the almost-ripe italian plums on our tree. They just started going purple a few days ago... won't be long now!

585 Bar Number Two
Snapped this with my phone during epic bar crawl. I don't even know the name of this place with its fabulous deck, but it's the place that used to be a vegan restaurant with an "urban tea ceremony." I like it better in its current incarnation.
