Finally made it over to the new park at the bottom of Queen Anne to take pictures of the fancy lights. They MOVE and i LOVE THEM. If I were Queen of the World, these would be everywhere. The rest of the set is here.

What you're missing here is that it was raining, a lot, and bitterly cold. I was worried about poor Julio, so I didn't take many photos, but this one pretty much sums up Boston in winter.

Went to Border Cafe with some of the best people in Boston. I seem to have caught N in a moment of mischief.

D and G took us up to Provincetown (P-Town!) just so I could take pictures. I got lots of good ones, even though most of the town was eerily empty, not to mention frozen solid. See me doing that sneaky linking thing there?

These are by gate A10 at Seatac. The flights to Boston on JetBlue all leave from here, so they're a happy and familiar sight. Also, kinda weird and intestinal.

392 First Fail of the New Year

I went to work, came home and passed out for 12 hours. Turns out it's surprisingly hard to take pictures while sleeping.

Look! It's another "I guess I'll set my camera on the table and use a long exposure because it's friggin' dark in here" picture of booze and a candle! This one is at Get Loweded.

390 The Crystalization Process

 

Can't believe nine of us made it to brunch after last night. Still, the sun and relative warmth made it worth it. Also Septieme's toast. Snapped this pic on the way home - it's the building next to Value Village on 11th.

389 Art Imitates Life

 

I took a bunch of dramatic pictures of those towers, but this guy's painting is probably better than any of them. Note the presence of sun and blue sky in this picture. OMG.

388 Fog Goggles

 

Left the club tonight to find that the world had disappeared. This was taken around 4:45am and involved me realizing "OMG I haven't taken a picture yet" and then running outside in my socks. I set the camera on the ground, clicked up the shutter speed and this is the result. I also got one with my weird-looking stocking feet.

Went to WestSide Industry Night at the Garage tonight and took tons of pictures of nerds and creepy babies. Also, this sweet light.

386 Matturday

 

Today was M's birthday and he is OLD. K was clearly uncomfortable being hugged by such an OLD MAN. I love these guys :-)

384 Flame War

 

Hung out at home tonight, playin games and things. I decided it was a good night to do some DPS homework, so you get pictures of flames. I was happy with a lot of them, but this was the peanut gallery favorite. Click for the hi-res version to see nifty details in the wax!

383 Exit, Twilight

 

D, J and I went to the Twilight Exit for what might be the last time before it shuts down and moves away. I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the place, so I brought Julio and the gorillapod with me. Scary having her in a bar, with all the spillage and drunktards, but she did ok. D says this pic is "nicely framed," which made me lol. Also, it has the built-in caption: EXIT.

380 Some People Call Him Maurice

 

This is Maurice, my gargoyle (though I guess technically he's a grotesque). Usually he reminds me to read, but tonight he was the subject of my "drawing of the week" which you don't get to see. I'm a much better with a camera than with pencils, but we'll see if that's still true next year after a bunch of practice.

378 Tank Cam Goes to Pesos

 

We took a lunchtime fieldtrip to Pesos- someplace I've been meaning to go for a long time. It was fun and the food was good, but unfortunately the picture wasn't so much. I think tank cam is jealous of big girl cam's skillz.
